Gig Bag Essentials!
Nice article over at DJ Tech Tools reminding you about what should be in your gig bag. Some may seem obvious to you but I bet there is a thing or two in this article that may have grown to be overlooked in your time for you. I never get to a gig without a camera and video camera, and I take lots of pictures, even though I tend to do nothing with them. Good to know I have them I suppose.

Here is their run down for a local gig.
- Powered light <- I still need one of these
- Business Cards
- Earplugs <- I should have some of these
- Back up CD
- USB cables
- Paper, Pen and Mix CDs
- Camer/Video Camera
- 1/8″ Adaptor
- Extra Power Supply
The Ass & Titties T shirt is BACK! Limited to 24. Act fast.

Looking after your listening has to be one of the most fundamental matters you can do. Take it from me, somebody who sufferred listening damager early on. As a result, I really like taking care hearing and whilst I do agree with the above poster and I really hope I do not get shot down for saying this, but I think it is important to take all things in moderation.

great list, just a few additions. not sure what you meant by 1/8″ adapter but a 1/8″ (3.5mm aka headphone jack) to a RCA adapter is a definite must have. If your system goes down 90% of cell phones have that output now and I’m willing to bet you’ve got at least a few CYA (cover your a**) tracks on there if need be. Another thing is a bottled drink (powerade, pepsi, juice). all the bars will hook you up with whatever drinks you want throughout the night but nothing starts off a headache like a drunk patron bumping your drink and spilling all over your decks or mixer, nobody likes a sticky fader.
