My Bio!

DJ Real Juicy has been setting dance floors in a whirlwind for over eight years now. After scraping up the money from part time jobs he got his first set of decks at the age of 16 and hasn’t looked back. RJ stated his pro career when he started picking up mobile DJ jobs with a Peoria based company when he was 18. He then took to music production as a hobby in his free time and hooked up with an independent hip hop label also based in Peoria. Being their full time beatsmith, guerilla marketer, graphic designer and on stage DJ kept him busy. The group reached regional fame performing in night clubs, bars, state fairs and concerts and opening for nationally renown acts such as Killer Mike, from Outkast fame, and Chingy who hit it big recording hits such as ‘Right Thurr’ and ‘Holiday Inn’. Making a name for himself by producing infectious rap tracks and circulating hundreds of mixtapes regionally, RJ decided to step away from the hip-hop scene to focus on becoming a Rap & Top 40 DJ. Juicy was able to hone his craft and perform at some of the hottest spots in the area including Hydrate, S.O.P.’s, 609 Lounge, Tomcats, Sully’s, Z-Bar, Phat Cats & Club Apollo, as well as house and frat parties on Bradley and U of I’s campus’s. Most notably he recently opened for Flo Rida at Blush In Las Vegas. He also has recently gotten bit by the mashup and remix bug, having his remixes posted and praised by a number of online communities and publications including New York Based PalmsOut, LA’s Missingtoof, The Remix Archive and Sydney’s I’m a Deckhead—among many more, as well as starting his own web-mag— whitefolksgetcrunk.com, promoting the remix and mashup culture.
