I love Dubsteeeeeep
OK this dubstep thing is definitely about to blow. I have had a few folks come up and say ‘hey will you play some dubstep?’ and I mean these are the types of people that really probably don’t know the difference between house and techno in the first place. So really? You want to hear dubstep? So anyway I have refrained but have been on the hunt for some stuff I thought I could throw in here and there to see how the crowd reacts. Thank you to Mad Decent, I think I may have the first dubstep record I will be playing in the P this weekend. In case this joint just wets your appetite they posted like 8 dubstep remixes of the I Love College record over there for your listening pleasure. Twitter is so amazing isn’t it? Anyway if anybody knows who did this remix please let me know so I can credit them!

I Love College (Uncredited Dubstep Remix) – Asher Roth download
I’m still not exactly sure how I feel about the whole dubstep thing. Not sure where its going but hey I am pretty open minded. Interesting conversation I had with LMFAO the other day and we talked about dubstep for a few minutes, stay on the look out for the whole interview with them. And that my friends is what we in the ‘biz’ call a teaser!

Don’t forget the classics. 2 part mix of classic dubstep, and lost dubs, like 2005 and earlier era.
I DEFINITELY recommend this to any true dubstep lovers. Be warned: it’s pretty long, and yeah Joe Nice does like to talk…about food, mostly.
The sound is pretty different from modern dubstep, lacking as much of the “wobble” bass so popular today, but instead it sounds more like UK Garage (from which it is derived) with a little influence from Jungle.
Still, it has great tunes you won’t find anywhere else.

you’re kidding right?
dubstep is most succesful dance genre since the DnB re-birth in 2007.
this isnt the best dubstep track ever it’s pretty much ‘my first pro-tools dubstep song’ and im pretty sure the beat is exactly the same as the Doorly remix of Bonkers.
I hate to say it but the Snoop Dog ‘millionaire’ is the best example of dubstep/rap crossover.
if you want dubstep look up;
skream (myspace/skreamuk)
or rusko( myspace/onfire)
the REAL dubstep crossover of 2009 is ‘La Roux – In For The Kill (skream’s let’s get ravey remix)
In terms of american dubstep i’d say your best producer is number nin6 (www.myspace.com/numbernin6)
chek out his remix of the prodigy.

We have a whole mixtape that is pretty hot in the streets right now that’s all dubstep beats (mostly from the UK) with rappers and singers from the Bay Area, Ca. We call it Dubrap if ya’ll wanna hear one of the joints from it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1T59ORSDC4U it’s over the same beat that Snoop did his thing on which is Chase & Status song “Eastern Jam”
You can Download the whole thing here for free too:
